Stipulated responsibilities
NTG Continent A/S is liable as freight operator in accordance with the CMR law (law on freight operations within international road transport).

All offers are given without obligation. All services rendered are subject to the general conditions of the nordic association of freight forwarders (NSAB 2000). Under these conditions our liability for loss of, deterioration of or damage to goods is limited to SDR 8.33 per kg and our liability for delay is limited to the amount of the freight, but not exceeding SDR 50,000 per order. In connection with storage, the freight forwarder’s total liability for damage is limited to SDR 500,000 for any incident of damage occurred (clause 27). Special attention is directed to the stipulations that claims against the freight forwarder are statue-barred after one year (clause 30) and that the lien on goods (clause 14) applies to both current and previous claims. Claims for freight etc. must be honoured regardless of the terms of delivery under the contract of sale or freight agreement (clause 10).

The stipulated delivery and transit times is only to be regarded as indicative, according to NSAB 2000 (§ 6). Only if a special written contract is agreed, will a time guarantee be available, with a responsibility by delay not exceeding freight costs.

Upon visible loss or damage, a claim must be made immediately upon receipt of the goods. Upon non-visible loss or damage the claim must be made in writing within 7 working days after delivery.

Offsetting – there can be no offsetting in claims towardsNTG Continent A/S on freight and other services.

Freight calculation rules for dispatch volumes:
1 cbm = 333 kg, 1 ldm = 1850 kg. 1 EUR pallet = 800 kg/0,4 ldm.

Dangerous goods – will only be dealt with following prior agreement. According to law, it is incumbent on the sender no later than at the booking, to declare dangerous goods with the correct chemical/technical specifications and to give the relevant category of risk. Insufficient or incorrect information, documents, packaging and/or goods-labelling will release NTG Continent A/S from responsibility for any eventual damages and claims.

Payment on delivery
Will only be charged when a separate written instruction has been received by NTG Continent A/S. A reference in the supplier invoice does not constitute such an instruction (NSAB 2000 § 3).

Special provisions
The offer presupposes free and unhindered traffic and includes – unless a different condition is specified – ordinary non-dangerous traded goods which in relation to measurement and weight can be transported in ordinary vehicles. Where temperature-controlled transport applies, a prior agreement must be set.

The basis for the price is the current tariffs and exchange rates on the day of the offer. In the event of a change in tariff or exchange rate, a significant increase in our production costs or in case of public interference, we reserve the right to adjust this offer.

In the absence of anything within the offer to the contrary, the following conditions apply:

For transport to/from islands without access by bridge increased transit times and freight costs are to be expected. The rates do not apply to temperature-regulated transport or transport of highly taxed goods as well as dangerous goods unless this is specified in the offer.

The rates are exclusive of moms (vat), duty, possible tolls and intrastat. A goods insurance can be taken out upon your written request through NTG Continent A/S with a recognized insurance company.

Lift delivery for transports over 1500 kg, 0,8 truck loading meter, 5 cbm or 2 pallets falls outside the existing rates and will be settled according to actual costs.
